B. Braun To Showcase Its Ostomy, Urinary, and Wound Care Products at WOCN

BETHLEHEM, Pa., May 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- B. Braun Medical Inc., which offers ostomy, urinary, and wound care products, will showcase its chronic care products and its new myosto™ resource at the 50th annual Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Conference from June 3-5 in Philadelphia.

The recently launched myosto resource includes a website (myosto-mylife.com) and toll-free phone numbers that provide access to educational information, support, and product information for people living with ostomies, their caregivers, and healthcare professionals. The website is designed to help individuals navigate the ostomy care journey and includes daily living tips, as well as patient stories describing lifestyle and product experiences. Requests for product samples are also available through the website.

B. Braun will sponsor two Innovation Theater presentations at WOCN in the Exhibit/Poster Hall, Pennsylvania Convention Center:

  • Lessons from a Grateful Patient, 6:30 p.m., Sunday, June 3
    Rolf Benirschke*, an ostomate, former NFL player, and co-founder of Legacy Health Strategies*, will share stories and lessons he has learned as an ostomate. He also will explore the advantages of WOC nurses and ostomates connecting with myosto.
  • Go With the Flow: Evolution of Managing High Output Stomas, 2 p.m., Monday, June 4
    A presentation, roundtable discussion, and question-and-answer session will be led by Julie Bauer, RN, BSN, Clinical Manager, Business Development, OPM Division, B. Braun; Paula Erwin-Toth, MSN, RN,CWOCN, FAAN; and Marina Trago, RN, BSN, CWCN. The B. Braun High Output System for managing high output stomas will be featured.
