IT - notice - INET changes in Good-Till-Cancel (GTC) order removal process (44/18)

Nasdaq Nordic and Nasdaq Baltic offer Good-Till-Cancel (GTC) orders, that are re-introduced (restated) daily until they are canceled, filled or removed (“flushed”) by Exchange. Currently, in some instances where instrument information is changing or instrument is being delisted, GTC orders for instrument in question are removed in Post-Trading session prior ex date. In these instances “Admin cancel“ messages are sent, and orders are no longer restated next day (signaling, that orders are no longer live). As of July 9th in some limited situations “Admin cancel” messages will no longer be sent.

Changes for GTC order removal

Nasdaq Nordic and Nasdaq Baltic will no longer remove orders (“Admin cancel” ) when instrument information changes:

  • Ticker change / Order book symbol change, ISIN change, Name change;
  • Regular instrument, when last trading day inserted intraday;
  • Knocked out instruments - mini futures, which are to be delisted

No changes are being made in regards to regulatory/legal reasoning for orderbook flushing (suspension, one sided bids and etc).
