This serves true to Raquel Vendome.
Her father Antonio, or more popularly known as Nino, is the owner and director of Vendome Property Management, Inc. He has an array of managed properties in downtown Manhattan and in Queens, New York. Nino was able to build a real estate empire from his humble beginnings of being a shoeshine boy at the age of 10.
Being the daughter of a highly successful real estate mogul, people think things come to Raquel effortlessly. But this is definitely a misconception.
Raquel Vendome, like most people, struggled to find her own place in the sun.
After graduating from Locust Valley High School, she studied at Lynn University in Boca Raton to pursue her passion for working with children. In college, she majored in Early Childhood Education to make her dream of being of service to the kids a reality. However, working for the family business has also been at the back of her mind.
Thus, she was torn between going after her love for children and serving the real estate empire her father has incessantly worked to build. It was a tough choice to make.
Eventually, her desire to carry on the family legacy won her over. Raquel Vendome eventually had to drop out of school in 2010 to strive for a career in the real estate. She began working under the tutelage of her father.
Raquel had to learn through the ropes. She had to master everything about the business, from planning a property acquisition all the way to forging business partnerships.
Talking about how she found her way into the industry, she highlighted and gave credence to her father’s hard work.
“I was inspired because I had watched my father work tirelessly to achieve what he has accomplished today. There is nothing more I would like to expand what he has already built and to continue the family legacy passing the business down through generations,” she narrated.
These days, she finds herself swamped with tasks and working closely with her father. She upholds the values of honesty, integrity, and diligence as these are the very same virtues that propelled her father to the success he and his family now enjoy.
Times may have changed but certainly not the Vendome family’s quest to offer a grandiose skyline for New York.
Raquel Vendome is currently very much involved in establishing “Habitable Structure”, which is a collaboration with Architect Philip Johnson. It will feature an intricate exterior detail made from tubular cube structures and angular sides. Like all the Vendome’s real estate undertaking, this project is expected to be a high-class condominium with a mix of residential and commercial spaces.
