`Adventures Through Life' -- New Collection of Prose Reflects the Simple Life

VERNAL, Utah, Dec. 2, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- An excerpt from the poem "As I Roam," found in Marvin Gene Richens' collection of prose and poetry entitled "Adventures Through Life" (now available through 1stBooks Library) reads, "While I listen to the radio, I head about different, / Events, that someone else has experienced! / During my time spent in this place, you have to be / ready for stormy blue and midnight rage, which is / after you, to put you in the cage or your grave..."

The book contains different experiences Richens' has gone through at different times in his life. These words are the feelings and thoughts, about which he was inspired to write.

Richens' feels that the necessary aspects of his collection are simply stated: he was a simple man who garnered a great deal of life experience from worldly travel. Going about his life, living from day-to-day, has been an exciting and sometimes overwhelming, lengthy event. But, he's survived so far, and this anthology of his personal writings is testament to that fact.

Currently, Marvin Gene Richens is 55 years old and has devoted a lot of his time to writing poetry.

He has also published two other books; "Dreams of Reality," through Dorrance Publishing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and, "Have The Scare Bare," which was also published through 1stBooks Library.

A single man, in love with the country and outdoors, Richens lives a quiet life in Vernal, Utah.
