Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza to Host Statewide Fundraiser Supporting American Cancer Society Friday June 22

All seven New Jersey restaurants will donate 20% of proceeds to ACS

NEWARK, N.J., June 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pizza with a purpose, it doesn’t get better than that. Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza announced today that its seven New Jersey locations will host a one-day, statewide fundraising event on Friday, June 22 in support of the American Cancer Society (ACS). All seven restaurants have committed to donating 20% of proceeds back to the organization which supports cancer patients and their families throughout the state.

The event will wrap up the Society’s widely celebrated Relay for Life season which takes place annually in the spring and ends in June. ACS works daily to attack cancer from every angle by funding cancer research and providing patients free rides to treatment, a live 24/7 helpline, and free lodging near hospitals.

Blaze Pizza has made it a goal to build strong roots within New Jersey communities since opening its first Garden State location in Paramus in 2014. AMPAL Group, the franchisee for Blaze Pizza in central and northern New Jersey, has made community engagement a top priority giving back to community members and organizations in need via regular fundraisers. This is the first statewide fundraiser for Blaze Pizza in New Jersey, and the restaurant group looks forward to raising funds to support ACS’s mission which is to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

“We knew we wanted to do something special for our first statewide philanthropic effort,” said Jordan McMeen, Marketing Coordinator for AMPAL Group in New Jersey. “I don’t know one person that has not been impacted by cancer, so supporting cancer research, support and development is something we can all get behind.”

All Blaze Pizza New Jersey locations are participating in the fundraiser during their regular Friday operating hours. The Paramus, Clark and Bridgewater locations will have the Blaze Pizza Wheel of Fire onsite from 11am – 2pm. In exchange for donations, guests will be encouraged to “spin to win” various Blaze Pizza prizes.
